True-Wind Calculator does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Everything you enter or calculate stays on your device.
Location
The app can read your device's location and heading only when you tap to auto-fill boat speed and heading. This happens on-device to populate the input fields. Your location is never stored by the app, never logged to a server, and never leaves your phone. You can decline the location permission and enter values manually — every feature still works.
Calculation history
If you use the Pro history feature, your calculations are saved locally on your device only. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app removes them.
Purchases
The optional one-time "Pro Unlock" purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. The app never sees your payment details. Apple's handling of transactions is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. To unlock Pro for buyers of the earlier paid version, the app reads only Apple's record of your original purchase — on-device, with no data sent anywhere.
No tracking
There are no analytics frameworks, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no network calls for tracking of any kind. The app functions fully offline.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date below.
